The main purpose of the Sincro.Grid project is to manage the power of currents by using advanced technical systems and algorithms in such a way as to improve the quality of voltages in the electricity system and increase the transmission capacity of existing electricity lines. Integration of renewable energy sources into the electricity system will be easier and more efficient and will increase the security of customer supply.

Within the Sincro.Grid project the upgrade of existing distribution transformer substations with devices for reactive power compensation, battery power storage and advanced technologies and algorithms is forseen. With the upgrades of the distribution transformer subtstaions an active infrastructure will be created – a smart grid, which will, with a wide range of technical solutions and concepts, ensure increased energy transfer and enable network users to adapt to new circumstances. The upgrade of distribution transformer station in Pekre is also a part of this project.
